International Workshops

  • TAIWAN – 2012 International Urban Planning and Design Workshop: Held from July 24 through Aug 3, 2012 in Taipei, Taiwan with students from Korea University, Korea, Waseda University, Japan, Sydney University, Australia, MIT, USA, Taiwan University of Political Science, Taiwan. Over 100 students participated and worked on a project to revitalize Yang Ming Mountain and its neighborhoods.
  • COLUMBIA – KU Workshop: Students from Columbia University, USA participated a joint studio with Korea University sponsored by the City of Suwon from Jan 11 through Jan 17, 2015. A total of 24 students and 6 professors from Columbia University formed seven teams with 10 students from Korea University to find ways to regeneration West Suwon. Student’s work was exhibited at the Suwon City Hall in January.

  • KU-SPAIN GRANADA 워크샵: From Feb. 23rd through 27th, students from Granada University visited Korea University. A total of 21 students participated looking at riverrfront development strategies of Seoul.

  • 2015-2학기 인도 찬디가르건축대학과의 제1회 2015 KOREA-INDIA 1st ACADEMIC WORKSHOP: Korea University hosted a group of architecture students from Chandigarh University, India for the first International Workshop between KU and Chandigarh University.
 

During summer and winter semesters, the department offers international workshops either organized by the department or other institutions overseas. These workshops provide opportunities to meet people other countries and experience various issues in different cultures and cities. And students who participate in these international workshops will receive credits towards taking “International Architecture and Urban Workshop I, II“ course.
